Earlier released from the Russian captivity Oleg Sentsov believes that Crimea has never been Ukrainian completely as Krym.Realii reported.
He states that Ukraine held not quite right policy in the peninsula and it set down roots for “Russian world”.
“Ukraine held not quite right policy in Crimea. Some thins took place forcibly and wrong and some things, which had to be stopped as they set down roots for so-called “Russian world”, were not stopped in time,” Sentsov said.
He thinks that “good things were done forcibly and without soul and dangerous things were not stopped.
“People live in the way it is comfortable for them, that’s it. And these 20-odd years showed that Russia is more comfortable than Ukraine, unfortunately. It is a fact. It can be denied but it is so,” Sentsov said.
24 Ukrainian sailors and 11 political prisoners - already ex-political prisoners - captured by Russia over the past five years, returned to Ukraine. Faces of the released Ukrainian seamen, filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, left activist Oleksandr Kolchenko, journalist Roman Sushchenko, Crimean Tatar Edem Bekirov and the rest of former captives were seen in the crowd.
