Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov asked to publish his testament. His sister Natalya Kaplan passed the respective letter to Hromadske.

In his letter, Sentsov bequeaths the screen adaptations of his works to movie director Yevheniya Vradiy. In addition, he designated his children Alina and Vladyslav as his direct heirs.

'I, Oleg Sentsov, being of a sound mind and bona memoria, in the case of my death, bequeath the screen adaptations of my scripts, in particular, Nosorog (Rhino, - ed.), Kai, and those written in captivity, Glorious world, Ravens and Christie to my collaborator and second movie director Yevheniya Vradiy as the movie director. If she refuses, she has the right to choose whom to entrust these adaptations and to choose the producer company of these movies.

I am appointing my children Alina Sentsova and Vladyslav Sentsov as legal successors, heritors, and receivers of the fees. The testament was written in the 8th Penitentiary of Labytnangi in the presence of my lawyer Dmytro Dinze, who notarized it. September 7, 2018'.

Reportedly, Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov was awarded Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.

Oleg Sentsov, the Ukrainian political prisoner, has been starving in Russia penal colony of Labytnangi for 140 days now. He announced hunger strike in May 2018, demanding to release him and the rest of Ukrainian political prisoners illegally held by the Kremlin. Sentsov already survived four health crises.

The native of Crimea, film director and political activist, Sentsov was illegally detained in Crimea in 2014, then taken to Russia. They judged him and sentenced him to 20 years of imprisonment at a high-security penal colony. The prosecutors charged Sentsov with preparing terrorist acts in the occupied Crimea. Sentsov denies his guilt. Ukraine's government, common citizens and the international society - politicians, artists, public figures - urge the Kremlin to release him.
