Ukraine has launched Diy Vdoma (Do it at home) mobile app to monitor the self-isolation of the citizens during the quarantine.
- people who have returned from abroad;
- patients or those who are at home treatment;
- persons with suspected coronavirus.
An important clarification from the Ministry of Digital Information. The application should be installed only if the employees of state institutions of the Ministry of Health of the epidemiological profile have found that a person needs self-isolation, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
Such a person is registered in the corresponding information system as requiring self-isolation. An SMS message with a link to install the application is sent to him on the phone.
After the installation of the app, the user must log in using the phone number by which he was entered in the appropriate registry of persons in need of quarantine. Then a person needs to confirm the registration with a password, sent in an SMS message. It is also necessary to fill out the information about the place of self-isolation.
For two weeks, the registered users would get up to ten push-messages per day.
In response, you need to take your photo, and the app would fix your geolocation.
The photo will be checked for authenticity using artificial intelligence.
If the application is effective, then, according to the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Mykhailo Fedorov, its next functions will include the possibility of ordering the delivery of food and medicine home.
Also, in the latest version of the app, you can find the notifications on coronavirus - users will be able to receive news about restrictive measures and quarantine conditions introduced, about government decisions and recommendations on how to protect themselves from infection.
"For those who don’t have smartphones, a team will be formed, a small call center that will call people on their state of health" Fedorov explained.
"If the quarantine mode is violated, and non-use of the application, in fact, will be a violation of the quarantine mode, there are certain regulated amounts of fines," Fedorov said.
“Many media outlets disseminate false information, which is interpreted as “everyone who is in quarantine will be monitored through the application.”
It should be noted that according to the Government Decree of March 11, 2020 No. 211, if a person violates the conditions of mandatory self-isolation, he can be held administratively liable, which provides for a fine of 622 USD or criminal liability.
People returning from abroad must go to self-isolation for 14 days.
Also, all arrivals from countries with the local transmission (transmission in society) of the coronavirus should go for mandatory observation.
