Security Service prevents Russia's disruption of presidential election in Ukraine

Security Service of Ukraine of Ukraine (SBU) has prevented the preparation of the disruption of the election process after the first round of the presidential elections by the Russian Federation special services as Ukrainian News reported citing SBU Deputy Head Viktor Kononenko.

According to him, this time the Russian special service try to implement the project of the disruption of the election named “White balaclava” in Ukraine.

“They prepared the disruption of the election process after the first round of the presidential elections,” Kononenko noted.

Particularly, the department searched three supporters of MP Nadia Savchenko, including Yevhen Morenets, who posted provocative and anti-Ukrainian materials.

“The design of Russia is the non-recognition of the elections and holding of veche,”  emphasized.

He said that according to the plan of the Russian special services, people should seize the establishment and spill blood, as well as to become the target of attack.

“Morenets was considering the possibility of seizing of the building of the Rada after the elections of the president,” he added.

According to Kononenko, Russia will try to not recognize the elections in Ukraine, using the artificially created situations.

Earlier SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak reported that Russia’s special forces started a rally of firing the churches and intimidating the priests in Ukraine.

The Security Service has managed to establish that the Russian special services are looking for people who can set fire to the church buildings of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP). They offered $ 2,000 for the arson, which they promised to transfer to a card account opened in one of the Ukrainian banks.
