Ukraine’s Security Service confirmed their involvement in yesterday's "kidnapping" of a journalist in the center of Kyiv, but said that she was helping one of the pro-Russian propagandists and was invited to give official explanations. This is stated in the statement of the Security Service in Facebook.

"Our officers indeed yesterday invited the assistant of one of the pro-Russian propagandists who cooperates with him on regular basis to provide official explanations," the SBU said.

According to the Security Council, she makes for money video footages which are later used by the propagandist to discredit Ukraine in the interests of Russian special services.

Security Service officers officially warned her about the prevention of illegal activities that detriment Ukraine's security. After the conversation, the woman was released.

As it was reported earlier a woman-journalist was "kidnapped" in Kyiv downtown. Two men pushed the worker of the online agency to a silver car near the Dnipro hotel.
