Security Service has no information about Russian passport of MP Aksyonov

The Security Service reported that the response to the lawmaker’s request on possession by Aksyonov of the passport of another country would be provided in the order established by the law

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) does not possess information toward the presence of the Russian passport of MP Andriy Aksyonov as Ukrayinska Pravda reported.

“The Security Service does not have documented information about the presence of the passport of the citizens of Russia of citizen of Ukraine A.A. Aksyonov,” the message said.

Moreover, the SBU did not serve charges to Aksyonov within the investigated criminal proceedings.

Besides, the Security Service reported that the response to the lawmaker’s request on possession by Aksyonov of the passport of another country would be provided in the order established by the law.

As we reported, MP Andriy Aksyonov, elected in the parliamentary by-elections in constituency No. 50, has taken the oath in the Verkhovna Rada. During his oath, shouts of "Disgrace" were heard in the hall.

As we reported earlier, on March 28, 2021, by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada were held in single-mandate constituencies No. 50 in the Donetsk region and No. 87 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in which 32 candidates took part.

According to the results of electronic processing of 100% of the protocols, representative of the political party Order Andriy Aksyonov won in the 50th constituency, gaining 65.46% of the votes.
