The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the candidacy of Security Service General Oleksandr Kuts as head of the Donetsk Regional Military-Civil Administration. This was reported by the former head of the Donetsk region head on air of Channel 5 the Pavlo Zhebrivsky.
"There are no secrets. Today, on June 20, the Cabinet of Ministers approved General Kuts, and I hope that in the near future the president will consider it and issue a decree," Zhebrivsky said.
Kuts served as the head of the SBU department in the Donetsk region. In August 2017, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, appointed Kuts as the Chief of the General Directorate of the Security Service in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
As it was reported earlier, Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the head of Donetsk regional civil and military administration asked President Poroshenko to accept his resignation letter.
Zhebrivsky submitted the letter for President's consideration on June 9; Petro Poroshenko accepted the letter, which means that the Cabinet is to look into it on the next session. Pavlo Zhebrivsky has been serving as the incumbent head of Donetsk regional administration since June 2015.
