Viktor Shariy, who registered the Party of Shariy, testified that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) forced him to write an application to shut down the Party of Shariy by $2,000 bribe and threats as Shariy.net reported.
The message noted that according to Viktor Shariy, the SBU employees visited him together with the National Corps.
Meanwhile, editor-in-chief of Shariy.net, Olha Shariy also said that Viktor Shariy testified online during the court session that the media was not allowed to admit.
“Viktor Shariy appeared on the video-conference; everyone prepared, on the air, he stated that the SBU contact him, gave him $2,000 and threatened and put pressure with the National Corps to make him file the lawsuits with the demand to revoke the permission for the use of his name at the Party of Shariy,” she noted.
On February 16, the SBU served charges in state treason to Anatoliy Shariy, blogger and politician.
According to investigators, Shariy was carrying out illegal activities to detriment Ukraine's national security in the information sphere.
In his turn, Shariy stated that the Security Service of Ukraine did not serve him charges officially. He read about it on the Telegram channel.
Later, the SBU put Shariy on the wanted list. On March 1, the SBU requested international legal aid in the criminal proceeding in the case of Anatoliy Shariy. The request was filed to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
Besides, the court permitted the detention of the suspect in state treason Anatoliy Sharity to transfer him to the court for choosing a restrictive measure for him in the form of the detention in custody.
