“I confirm that the searches are indeed being held in the office of the RIA News Ukraine office and the issue of detaining its head is being considered now. WE have the evidence which we will make public once the investigative measures are completed,” Hitlyanska noted.
The correspondent on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel reported that it was impossible to get inside the agency’s office:
“We are near the office of Russian media agency RIA News Ukraine. We tried to get to the office, but there are no law enforcers or investigators. The doors are closed. During the time we have been waiting here, only the lawyer got inside. Also, the representatives of tenants tried to walk in, but they were refused entry too,” the journalist said.
As it was reported earlier, the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has exposed the network of the media entities controlled by the Russian Federation. The law enforcement bodies hold the investigative actions at the office of RIA News-Ukraine.
At the same time, RIA News reported the SBU searches at the RIA News-Ukraine office in the downtown of Kyiv.
'The eyewitnesses saw how people with a jack entered the building where the office is situated. A journalist who was inside the building dropped out of contact after this', the message said.
Also, the detention of Kyrylo Vyshynsky, the worker of RIA News-Ukraine near his house is reported.
