The Health Ministry of Ukraine predicted the second wave of coronavirus to occur in October or November along with the epidemic of flu, as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov.
According to Stepanov, the Ministry has already started to deploy the hospitals of the second wave in the region; they might admit 10,000 patients.
“We thought that we will have so-called second wave – the significant increase of diseased – in October or November,” Stepanov said.
Earlier, Stepanov stated that in Lviv region, the capacity of beds in the medical facilities exceeded 50%.
As of August 11, 83,115 cases of coronavirus observed in Ukraine. 1,158 Covid-19 cases were registered during the past 24 hours. Totally, 44,943 (+575 in 24 hours) people recovered from the coronavirus; while 1,951 (+29 in 24 hours) people died from the complications caused by Covid-19.
