The representative of Ukraine at Eurovision, the Go-A group held a second rehearsal on the stage of the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. Lead singer Kateryna Pavlenko, who fell ill the day before, was replaced by the vocalist from the Netherlands Emmie van Stijn.
According to eurovision.tv, frontwoman Go-A also missed a press conference.
In accordance with the health and safety protocol, she has undergone a PCR test for COVID-19. She is currently resting and waiting for the next rehearsal.
The other members of Go-A have all tested negative for COVID-19 and performed with a stand-in singer Emmie van Stijn.
As reported, the first rehearsals took place last weekend. After, the performance of the Go-A group was recognized as the best, and Ukraine rose to ninth place in the ranking of bookmakers. After the second rehearsal, Ukraine's place on the list has not changed.
Eurovision 2021 will take place at the previously planned Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. The semi-finals will take place on May 18 and 20, and the final on May 22. The results of the draw of semi-finals for 2020 will remain in force. The organizers allowed the winners of selections for 2020 to perform; however, the song should be new. All partakers of Eurovision 2021 will record their songs alive beforehand.
