The Crimean police launched two criminal proceedings on illegal detaining of the Crimean Tatars and violating the inviolability of the home. The press service of the National police of Ukraine reports this.
“On March 27, the police officers found out that representatives of the illegally created law enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation hold unlawful searchers of the Crimean Tatars on the territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The victims live in Strohonivka and Kamyanka villages of Simferopol region. According to the police, 27 citizens were searched due to their participation in one of the religious organizations,” the report said.
The law enforcement of Crimea and Sevastopol launched the criminal proceedings under part 2 of the article 162 (the violation the inviolability of the home) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Besides, the officers found out that illegal detaining of the citizens took place after illegal searches of their houses. The criminal proceedings have been opened under part 1 of the 146-1 article (enforced disappearance) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article suggests up to 5 years in prison.
The Russian Security Service raided ten houses of the Crimean Tatars in an occupied village of Strohonivka, Simferopol region.
In particular, the investigation was conducted in the houses of Remzi Bekirov, Osman Arifmemetov, Rustem Sheyhaliyev, Efran Osmanov, Aziz Bekirov, Akim Bekirov, Abdulaziz Umerov, Mejit Abdurakhmanov, Tofik Abdulgaziyev, Yashar Muedinov, Seitveli Seytabdiev, Edem Yachikov. In total, 17 houses were searched.
