The searches at ‘Motor Sich’ in Zaporizhia connected to the investigation of the criminal proceeding due to the sabotage as the press service of the Security Service (SBU) reported.
‘The SBU investigates the criminal proceeding due to the preparation to the actions aim for the weakening of the state by destroying the strategic enterprise ‘Motor Sich’, the message said.
The SBU noted that the representatives of the foreign company develop the modern plant on the aviation engines production and it is planned to relocate the Ukrainian production and technologies to this plant.
‘For the implementation of these intentions, despite the Ukrainian legislation, the foreigners made a mediated concentration of the controlling shares of ‘Motor Sich’ that is registered to six offshore companies and a natural person. At the moment, the representatives of the non-resident company intends to illegally concentrate the purchased block of shares that provides the increase of 50% of the votes at the supreme governing body of the enterprise and get the complete control over its activity in the military and defense contracts sphere as the materials of the case prove this’, the SBU added.
As we reported the SBU held the searches of ‘Motor Sich’ company to get the additional evidence in the criminal proceeding on April 23.
Earlier Anatoly Malysh, the Head of the Supervisory Board of ‘Motor Sich’ claimed that the searches are connected with the appeal of the SBU on the arrest of 41% of the shares of the company satisfied by the Kyiv Court in September 2017 to provide the state interests.
Also, it was reported that the stocks markets ‘Ukrainian stock exchange’ and PFTS made a decision to stop the movement of shares of ‘Motor Sich’.
'Motor Sich' is the enterprise in Zaporizhia that develops, produces, repairs and provides the service of the aviation gas turbine engines for the planes and helicopters and the industrial gas turbine units.
The officials of the company are suspected in the embezzlement of $14 million.
