The agents of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) held the searches in the office of the official of the Ministry of Justice and at the home of this official due to the operative information on the risk of the destruction of the number of the documents as the press service of the NABU reported.
'The emergence of the investigative action was grounded by the operative information on the risk of the destruction of the number of the documents that should be provided by the Justice Ministry within the investigation of the criminal proceeding by the NABU agents. This information confirmed during the search and the rest of the documents were confiscated', the message said.
Also, the NABU added that the official records that should be provided by the Justice Ministry to the NABU were also confiscated at the home of the official.
'We emphasize that the mentioned investigation actions were legal, grounded and agreed with the prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The NABY agents appeal to the court to get the sanctions for the confiscation of the evidence found during the searches. The investigation is performed by the NABU agents since June 2018', the message said.

Later Natalia Bernatska, the First Deputy Minister of Justice claimed that the Ministry of Justice appealed to Yury Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General due to the searches held by the agents of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau in the ministry.
