Andry Sadovy, the Mayor of Lviv will be questioned at the Security Service of Ukraine about the incident with the map that presented occupied territories of Donbas as Luhansk People's Republic and Donetsk People's Republic during the Lviv Security Forum as the press service of the city council reported.
According to Sadovy, he will be questioned as the witness of the criminal proceeding ‘on the invasion of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine’.
‘I am obliged to come to the SBU because they called me out as the witness on this forum. The SBU will talk instead of dealing with the terrorists. However, I should be at the Lviv Polytechnic National University where the governor of UNESCO will get the status of the honorary professor at the Polytechnic University’, he noted.
He also explained the origin of the map at the Lviv Security Forum.
‘Probably, you were embarrassed with the map during the first panel. This map was placed on the European website and it was an illustration of the Russian occupation in Europe. The occupied territories of Moldova, Georgian and Ukraine were depicted there. It is shown that Crimea and part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are occupied. I saw the article. It is quite objective. My attitude is clear and univocal - part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are occupied. I think that we are united on this topic. The issue is that someone attempted to provide some particular information with the particular emphases that is not true’, he claimed.
As we reported Oleh Syniutka, the head of Lviv regional state administration promised to filer a complaint to the Security Service over the support of "people's republics" on the part of the organizers and participants of Lviv Security Forum.
The organization committee of the forum on the security called the statement of Syniutka lie and manipulation.
The SBU opened the criminal proceeding due to the map that presented occupied territories of Donbas as Luhansk People's Republic and Donetsk People's Republic during the Lviv Security Forum.
