The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will verify information relating to Savchenko’s efforts to incite Ukrainian military to coup and her travel in the so-called "Donetsk People’s Republic". This was reported by Oleksandr Tkachuk, the Chief of Staff of SBU, on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Our military counterintelligence will speak to the witnesses of such instigations. If this information is confirmed, we will start the criminal proceeding against Savchenko based on this occasion," he said.
He also informed that the verification will take place in the coming days.
Speaking about Savchenko’s visit to "DPR", he said that MP did not inform Security Service about any upcoming travels to the occupied Donetsk. Tkachuk noted that SBU wants her to be safe and explain why she is so sure she will not be captured again there.
Earlier today, the MP from Petro Poroshenko Bloc claimed that Nadiya Savchenko urged military personnel in Donbas to go in Kyiv and start a coup.
Additionally, separatists claimed that Ukrainian MP Nadiya Savchenko and Volodymyr Ruban, the head of Ukrainian center for prisoners release, came to the territory controlled by the self-proclaimed "DPR" to see Ukrainian prisoners of war.
