The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appointed General of Special Service (SBU) Oleksandr Kuts to the post of the Head of Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration as the president claimed at the conference in Kramatorsk.
"When I defined on the candidature of the new head of the Military-Civilian Administration, I was guided by two factors: we should provide the security at the territory of Donetsk region and we should assume comprehensive list of the measures to bring Ukraine closer to the peace," Poroshenko noted during the presentation of a new Donetsk Head.
Kuts was the Head of SBU Department in Donetsk. In August 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appointed him to the post of the Head of Chief SBU Department in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Earlier Kuts' candidature was approved by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.
As it was reported earlier, Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the head of Donetsk regional civil and military administration asked President Poroshenko to accept his resignation letter.
Zhebrivsky submitted the letter for President's consideration on June 9; Petro Poroshenko accepted the letter, which means that the Cabinet is to look into it on the next session. Pavlo Zhebrivsky has been serving as the incumbent head of Donetsk regional administration since June 2015.
