People’s deputy Nadiya Savchenko was absent on the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Volodymyr Ariev, Chairman of Ukrainian delegation in Parliament Assembly of Council of Europe, on his Facebook page.
“Savchenko was absent on the session. She is not invited on the Monitoring session tomorrow (this committee is held in camera and one can’t attend it without an invitation). Akhtem Chiygoz and Oleksandra Romantseva are invited to the Monitoring session on Ukraine issues to discuss Crimean Tatars protection,” Ariev said.
Earlier Yury Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine claimed that Savchenko was called for a questioning on March 13 on the case against Volodymyr Ruban. Later, Savchenko’s press secretary said that the deputy did not receive an invitation for questioning from the Security Service, that she is in PACE with a working visit.
As we reported Ruban was detained on March 8 at the Ukrainian checkpoint at the demarcation line of Donbas Conflict zone. It is stated that Ruban is suspected in the illegal handling of arms, preparation of a crime and terrorist action. Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv arrested Volodymyr Ruban, the Leader of Center of POW Release 'Officer Corps' for 60 days without a right to the bail. Later, Savchenko said that she is ready to bail Ruban out.
