Non-affiliated MP Nadia Savchenko and Volodymyr Ruban, the Head of 'Officer Corps' planned to attack the cortege of the President of Ukraine with the large caliber sniper rifle. Yury Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine claimed this during the session of the Ukrainian Parliament Regulatory Committee where the issue of the bearing of Savchenko to criminal responsibility was considered as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.
'On December 2, 2017, Savchenko and Ruban came to Khmelnytsky, tested the weapons at the proving ground where Ruban announced the plan to attack the cortege of the president with the use of the large caliber sniper rifle 'Topaz' that penetrates the light armor of any car and it is many only in Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Later on the same day, the key meeting of Savchenko, Ruban and pointed officers of Ukraine's Armed Forces took place (it was recorded by the operative services of the SBU). During the video-recording Ruban and later Savchenko outlined their plans of the overthrow the constitutional order by the holding of the terrorist attack from the mortar launchers at the governmental quarter of Kyiv, commitment of the terrorist attack inside the Verkhovna Rada with the weaponry and explosives gotten from the DPR militants', he said.
Ruban was detained on March 8 at the Ukrainian checkpoint at the demarcation line of Donbas Conflict zone. It is stated that Ruban is suspected in the illegal handling of arms, preparation of a crime and terrorist action. Later the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv arrested Volodymyr Ruban, the Leader of Center of POW Release 'Officer Corps' for 60 days without a right to the bail.
On March 20, Kyiv Court of Appeal refused to change the measure of restraint for the head of the "Officer Corps" Center for the Release of Prisoners Volodymyr Ruban, thus leaving him in custody.
Earlier Lutsenko claimed during his speech at the parliament that Savchenko personally planned, recruited and ordered how to hold the terrorist attack in the Verkhovna Rada, destroying two lodges, governmental and post, by the combat grenades, bringing down the dome of the Verkhovna Rada by the mortar launchers and killing the survived with the assault rifles.
Also, Lutsenko made three submissions to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on MP Nadia Savchenko.
