MP Nadia Savchenko planned the assassination attempt on the senior leadership of the state, including President Petro Poroshenko, Arsen Avakov, the Interior Minister, Oleksandr Turchynov, the Secretary of National Security and Defense Council and others. Oleksandr Bannyk, the prosecutor claimed this during the court session on the choosing of the restrictive measure for Savchenko as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.
'During the presence of the President of Ukraine, MPs, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Ministers of Ukraine and public figures, with the use of the mortar launchers, grenade launchers and firearms, Savchenko attempted to attack the building in the governmental quarter of Kyiv. Particularly, the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at Hrushevskoho Street, 5, the building of the presidential administration at Bankova 11, the residential building at the mentioned streets. Simultaneously with this Savchenko planned to cause the explosion inside the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the held of the grenades and kill the mentioned statesmen who should be present in the hall of the Verkhovna Rada with the help of the firearms and kill the officers of the law enforcement bodies who should prevent the terrorist attack. At the night she planned to commit armed capture of the building of the Verkhovna Rada and impede the work of it. At the same time, she planned to kill the officers of the law enforcement bodies who protect the mentioned building with the firearms and explosives. Simultaneously with the use of the mortar launchers, grenade launchers, firearms and explosives Savchenko intended to implement the armed attacks at the place and vehicles of the statesmen and leaders of the political parties, particularly Petro Poroshenko, Arsen Avakov, Oleksandr Turchynov and others with the aim to illegally deprive their lives', the prosecutor noted.
On March 22, the Ukrainian parliament lifted the immunity of Nadiya Savchenko. She was detained right after this in the building of the Verkhovna Rada.
Later Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko signed the notice of suspicion of Savchenko under charges with preparing a terrorist act and the attempt of coup d'etat.
On March 15, Lutsenko claimed during his speech at the parliament that Savchenko personally planned, recruited and ordered how to hold the terrorist attack in the Verkhovna Rada, destroying two lodges, governmental and post, by the combat grenades, bringing down the dome of the Verkhovna Rada by the mortar launchers and killing the survived with the assault rifles.
Also, it was reported that non-affiliated MP Nadia Savchenko and Volodymyr Ruban, the Head of 'Officer Corps' planned to attack the cortege of the President of Ukraine with the large caliber sniper rifle.
In her turn, Savchenko claimed that she planned only a political provocation.
