On Monday, September 3, Kyiv Shevchenkivskiy District Court did not manage to consider the motion of the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office concerning the extension of the preventive measure for Nadiya Savchenko, which is detention in custody, as Radio Liberty reports.
The Court took into account Savchenko’s request and rescheduled the consideration of the motion for Tuesday, September 4, as the working day was over. Moreover, the Court also considered the fact that “the participants of the process got tired”, as Savchenko said.
The prosecutors stated that if the Court would not manage to consider the motion till September 7, the day when Savchenko is to be released from custody, she can influence the witnesses and leave Ukraine.
At the same time, Savchenko’s defense stated that there is no reason to be concerned, as Alexander Zakharchenko, the leader of the so-called “DNR”, who posed a threat, died.
Reportedly, Savchenko underwent a polygraph test. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) claimed that the psychological forensic examination with the use of the polygraph of MP Nadiya Savchenko has confirmed her intentions of the coup d'état, particularly the commitment of the terrorist act in the governmental quarter and the Ukrainian Parliament.
