The Specialized Anti-Corruption Bureau (SAP) accuses National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) of the intentional prolonging of the investigation of embezzlement in the defence sector, as SAP press office reported on Facebook.
“During the pre-trial investigation, SAP has found cases of violation of the law by NABU within the investigation of such criminal proceedings,” the message says.
In March 2016, the investigators of the Bureau opened a probe against Optimumspetsdetal company on grounds of fake supply of spare parts and components to Kharkiv armor plant for around $2,1 million.
“At first, the investigation was moving rather fast, but starting from September 2016 it has slowed down… Since June 2017, the case was left without an appropriate investigation after the investigator was fired,” SAP informed.
According to the organization, some other criminal proceedings conducted by NABU require more attention.
In particular, the criminal proceeding opened due to embezzlement of state funds at Kyiv and Zhytomyr plants.

As it was reported earlier, the investigators of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office detained the acting and former directors of the State Foreign Trade Enterprise SpetsTechnoExport on suspicion of embezzling $2,225 million, according to NABU.
According to the investigation, Poroshenko's enterprise Kuznia na Rybalskomu was one of the straw companies, which participated in the embezzlement.
