President of Moldova Maia Sandu announced that she was convening the Supreme Security Council. The meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 30. Newsmaker agency wrote this.

According to the Moldovan head of state, the meeting will take place in the building of the Presidential Administration. The Council should discuss the mismanagement of Moldovan property in Ukraine and its loss, as well as the fight against smuggling and drug trafficking.

It is noted that the last meeting of the Council took place on March 13. After the meeting, the president called on the government and parliament to introduce stricter restrictive measures in the country to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Earlier it was noted that the presidents of Ukraine and Moldova, Volodymyr Zelensky and Maia Sandu held a meeting as part of the official visit of the Moldovan leader to Kyiv. They agreed to create a presidential council that will shape the strategy for bilateral relations. According to the President of Ukraine, the countries plan to resume the dialogue at the highest level. The priority areas for an economic boost are energy, infrastructure, transport and transit.
