Ruslan Chornolutski, the advocate of Mikheil Saakashvili, the leader of 'Rukh Novykh Syl' Party filed an application to the Pechersk District Police Office of Kyiv as the press service of the political party reported on Facebook.
'Ruslan Chornolutski, the advocate of Mikheil Saakashvili filed an application on the kidnapping of the politician. The application was filed by phone. The police got the explanation from the workers of the restaurant and those who were with Saakashvili at the moment of the kidnap', the message said.
In his turn, David Sakvarelidze, the former deputy prosecutor of Ukraine and ally of Saakashvili reported that the supporters of Saakashvili plan to hold the protest near administration of the president this evening.
Earlier Mikheil Saakashvili, a former Governor of Odesa region and ex-President of Georgia, was readmitted to Poland, from where he illegally came to Ukraine last September.
As we reported earlier today, Saakashvili was detained by the task force of the Border Guard Service in a restaurant in downtown Kyiv.
On Sep. 22, 2017, the Mostysky court in Lviv found Saakashvili guilty of unlawfully crossing Ukraine’s border. In January 2018, the District administrative court of Kyiv refused Saakashvili’s appeal to the Migration Service to recognize him as a refugee. On Feb. 6, the court denied this claim again.
