The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine says that ex-President of Georgia, leader of Movement of New Forces political party Mikheil Saakashvili crossed the border of Poland with a passport of Ukrainian citizen listed as lost in the Interpol database. Vasyl Servatiuk, Deputy Head of the Border Guard Service said this in a meeting of Parliamentary committee on law enforcement, according to Ukrainian News.
Servatiuk said that they received the information from Polish counterparts. The Ukrainian border guards sent an inquiry to Poland, asking which documents Saakashvili used to cross the Polish border.
As it was reported earlier, the former Georgian leader illegally crossed the Ukrainian border via Shegyni checkpoint. The crowd of at least 60 people, including five MPs, literally carried Saakashvili through the checkpoint, getting into a fight with law enforcers.
