Ex-president of Georgia, former Head of Odessa City Administration Mikheil Saakashvili claimed he would return to Ukraine from Poland on September 10, as he informed on his Facebook page.
“I’m returning to Ukraine. I will come on September 10. I’ll be coming from Poland, through Krakovets border crossing point,” Saakashvili wrote.
As it was reported earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the decree stripping Saakasvhili off the Ukrainian citizenship. Anton Herashchenko, the Counselor to Interior Minister of Ukraine said that the government learned certain previously unknown facts from Georgia’s Prosecutor General’s Office; as of the time when Saakashvili was granted Ukrainian citizenship, Ukrainian authorities were unaware of that information.
Later on, the Prosecutor's General Office in Ukraine said Saakashvili would need a visa to come to Ukraine.
