Russian security services tried to organize the phone call with Polish President Andrzej Duda on behalf of Petro Poroshenko. This was reported on Facebook by Svyatoslav Tsegolko, the press secretary of Ukrainian Head of State.
"Yet another sign of Russian trail in the attack on Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk. Russian security services tried to organize a phone conversation with Andrzej Duda on behalf of Ukraine. So-called "prankers" did not know that the conversation already took place, while the office of Polish president is engaged in ongoing coordination with Presidential Administration of Ukraine," he wrote.
It should be noted that the press service of Ukrainian President informed at 1:50 p.m. that Poroshenko called Polish president. Petro Poroshenko offered to involve Polish experts in the investigation to detect the perpetrators of this crime.
The two leaders also agreed that "no provocations should affect the friendly nature of the Ukraine-Poland relations".
As it was reported, Consulate General of Poland was attacked in Lutsk. The roof of the building was damaged and a window broken as a result of shooting. No casualties were reported. Security Service of Ukraine claimed that the building was shelled from RPG-26. Ukraine’s MFA condemned the attack saying that "this is another targeted provocation aiming to harm strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland". Polish president said in turn that the attack on Consulate General requires resolute action.
