Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny announced that he will take part in the Presidential elections in 2018. He declared this addressing his supporters, reports RBC.

"I realize how difficult it is to resist current government of fraud and its propaganda machine. I understand very well that even become a candidate will not be easy,"Navalny said.

"I cannot watch the election where candidates are extras anymore," Navalny said.

"I want 2018 to be a clash of programs and ideas, and choosing not only one person, but also the way of country’s development. I have a program that is better than the one offered by Putin and the Kremlin. I'm not afraid to call a spade a spade, and expose both system and specific people," he said.
