Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) press charges against Russian oligarch and co-owner of Rusal company Oleg Deripaska. He is accused of destroying the only manufacturer of primary aluminum in Ukraine PAO ZAlK in the interests of competitors from Russia. This was reported by the Ukrainian News agency.

“Security Service investigators issued notes of suspect to the members of international criminal group who are accused of intentional damaging the integral production complex of Zaporizhia aluminum plant in the interests of Russian competitors,” the message says.

According to experts, as a result of the criminal activities, Ukraine lost over 40 million dollars.

SBU investigators reported suspicion to 9 members of an organized group in committing crimes under articles 113 (sabotage), 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement or possession of property by abuse of official position), 255 (creation of a criminal organization) and 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It is noted that one of the defendants in case is being held in custody, the former director of the plant - under personal recognizance, and three Russian citizens are the suspects.

As it was reported earlier one of the tasks of the Ukrainian Government is to prove that Ukrainian metallurgic production is not the threat for EU market, said Natalia Mykolska, the deputy Minister of Economics. According to her, Ukrainian producers act honestly on the EU markets and there is no dumping.
