Russian NTV channel reporter Viacheslav Nemyshev detained earlier by the law enforcers was expelled from Ukraine. This was reported by Ukraine’s Security Service press service.
As the SBU noted, Nemyshev worked on the uncontrolled by Ukraine territory of Donbas for a year and a half, and his activities "harmed national interests of Ukraine." The basis for Nemyshev’s detention was his identity card "Ministry of Information Policy of the DNR."
"The Security Service has established that Nemyshev "worked" on temporarily occupied by the terrorists territory of Ukraine from spring of 2016 until autumn 2017. He prepared a number of false anti-Ukrainian materials for the media, ordered by Russian curators and in the interests of the militants' leraders to justify and popularize their illegal activities in the information space," the report says.
Russian journalist was forcibly returned to Russia with a ban on entry to Ukraine for a period of three years.
"After the relevant procedural actions today, on October 5, at 4 am Nemyshev was forcibly returned to the Russian Federation at the Senkovka checkpoint. The propagandist is banned from entering Ukraine for a period of three years, "the SBU said.
As it was reoported earlier law enforcers confirm they have detained a Russian citizen in Kyiv, reporter of Russian NTV channel Viacheslav Nemyshev for a criminal offense. The source added that accreditation from the so-called “DNR” was found on the reporter, which is why the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine were invited to question Nemyshev.
Previously NTV informed that their reporter was arrested in Kyiv. The media says he was working on an “editorial task” in Kyiv.
