The Russian mass media has begun to spread the fake information that Ukraine allegedly prepares the chemical attack at the occupied territories of Donbas as Deputy Information Policy Minister Dmytro Zolotukhin reported on Telegram.
“Already yesterday and today, with the reference to Denis Pushilin, the fake is spread that “the foreign intelligence services, along with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, prepare the operations similar to Syrian “case” of "White Helmets". It means that the attack with the use of the chemical substances will be supposedly committed and the video of the affected by poison gases will be fabricated to accuse pro-Russian terrorists in it,” he reported.
According to him, recently the Russian side has deployed another disinformation operation, which can result in the large-scale provocation of Kremlin appointed by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for the last decade of December.
“To figure out new series of “Kremlinwood”, we need to remind the content of the previous episodes. When the Syrian government supported by Putin was accused of the use of the chemical weapons against the civilians in East Ghouta city; Kremlin invented the alibi for itself and hid behind it from the demands of the international society to prosecute the responsible,” Zolotukhin reminded.
Then the Russian mass media began to spread fake that the volunteers of “White Helmets” organization, who provided the aid to the civilians were used by the western special service for the holding of the provocation; they committed the chemical attack and made the video for the accusation of Russia.
“On December 7, 2018, the side of the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic” spread fake that the Armed Forces of Ukraine prepare for the offensive in the area of Mariupol and carry out some manipulation with the chemical substances. Later the Russian online mass media of marginal nature (Russian spring, News Front) started to post the publications about the “case” of “White Helmets” without regard of Ukraine. The aim was to refresh memories about fake for their readers,” Zolotukhin said.
He appealed to the soldiers, journalists and community with a request to treat the spread information carefully and “not to relax due to the possible stop of martial law.”
As we reported around 150 people were gas poisoned and died. The gas was spread in Douma, the last city in the East Ghouta, which is under the rebels’ control on April 7, 2018. The White Helmets, a voluntary rescue service, punished the pictures of the dead. The representatives of the service stated that more than 1000 people were injured as a result of the chemical attack and 150 deaths are confirmed.
