Russian helicopter violated air space of Ukraine

Ukrainian border guards observed a violation of air space by a Russian helicopter. The incident took place in Sumy region, northern Ukraine on March 16. Press office of Ukraine's Border Guard Service reported that on Tuesday evening. 

The helicopter proceeded 50 meters deep into the Ukrainian territory and then returned to Russia.

The Ukrainian side sent a letter to Russian border guard departments in Belgorod and Voronezh sectors, protesting against the violation of the state border of Ukraine. Ukraine's Border Guard Service demands to explain the reasons and cirumstances of this violation.

A video of the helicopter turning around and going back appeared on a Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian side expects a reply from the Russian border guards.

Over the last several years, Russian military aircraft have been repeatedly violating the air space of neighboring countries - in Europe, Asia and even over Alaska.
