The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation is preparing to develop cooperation with Trump on Ukraine "on terms reasonable for both". This was stated by the Deputy of Foreign Affairs Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin, reports "TASS".
"It’s still inappropriate to talk about bilateral contacts between Russia and the USA on Ukraine. Now we are working at the level of assistant of leaders of Norman format countries. It includes exchange of projects and telephone conversations," said Karasin.
Russia is prepared to cooperate with the elected president of the United States on Ukrainian issues, according to him.
"For now we support contacts with the current administration. At the same time we prepare to develop cooperation on Ukraine on acceptable terms for both of our countries with Donald Trump," said the Deputy Minister.
“Russia expects "a more constructive position of Kyiv" at the next contact group meeting on Ukraine on 23 November, he added.
Earlier it was reported that Russian Foreign Ministry announced about political understanding between Putin and Trump. During a telephone conversation Putin discussed with Trump the state of affairs in Russian-American relations, and it was noted that they now are worse than ever, according to Lavrov.
