Russian Federation groundlessly detained and transferred Ukrainian citizen with a surname “Nikolaev” to illegal armed forces. This happened after a meeting in Minsk, said the current First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament), Ukraine's representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral contact group, Iryna Gerashchenko, on her Facebook page.

"I attracted the attention of OSCE coordinator to an outstanding fact regarding hostages. We have received information that Russia groundlessly detained the citizen of Ukraine Nikolaev and brought him to militants. Moreover, a citizen of Ukraine was taken to the militants through uncontrolled parts of the border, while the illegal movement of people is a crime in the context of international humanitarian law,” Gerashchenko said.
