The delegation of Russia can return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) only in January as it is necessary to file the documents on the ratification of the authorities at the last week of the month. Georgy Logvinsky, the MP and representative of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE claimed this as 112 Ukraine reported.

"Russia was humiliated twice; it has posed the demands to lift the sanctions at all or to form in the way that they cannot be imposed. Exactly this plan was carried out," Logvinsky said.

The next consideration of the resolution on the return of the delegation can take place in January after the deadline of the documents filing. Accordingly, Russia will not be able to file these documents upon a new procedure until 2020.

On October 9, the members of the PACE voted for keeping the current limitations against the Russian delegation in the Assembly.

Earlier the Committee on Rules of Procedure of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has supported the amendments of Ukraine to the draft resolution on the rules on the sanctions against the PACE delegations, which make the return of Russia impossible.

As it was reported earlier, 20 member countries of the PACE signed the declaration against Russia’s return to the Assembly’s line-up.
