The Basman district court of Moscow arrested Ukrainian prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko, and Special Prosecution investigator Vadym Prymachok in absentia, UNN reports.
The Investigative Committee of Russia addressed the court with this request. On July 20, the Basman Court granted the applications, according to which Ruslan Kravchenko and Vadym Prymachok are found guilty under Part 2 of Article 299 of Russia’s Criminal Code “Knowingly Bringing an Innocent Person to Criminal Liability with the accusation of a person of committing a grave or especially grave crime”.
Military prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenkp is the head of prosecutor group on Yanukovych state treason case, while military prosecutor and investigator Prymachok is working on a criminal case against Russia’s Minister of Defence.
On Prymachok’s appeal the court allowed him to seize documents from the Presidential Administration of Russia, situated on Ilyinka street in Mosсow.
On May 4, the court started looking into the case of Viktor Yanukovych, the ex-president of Ukraine; the former official is charged with state treason, assisting in waging aggressive war and assisting in changing Ukraine’s territories and the state border.
