Russian border guards claim to have detained member of Crimean volunteer battalion

Border guards of the Russian Federation have detained a member of volunteer formation while trying to enter the annexed Crimea. This was reported by Interfax referring to the press service of border management of Russian Federal Security Service on "Crimean republic".

According to the Russian department, Ukrainian citizen Seit-Ibraim Zaytulayev tried to cross administrative border between the occupied peninsula and Ukrainian mainland bypassing the checkpoint.

"During the interrogation of the suspect if was found out that he was a part of Crimean battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan for over a year," the message says.

According to the press service announcement, the detained has told that battalion was preparing specialists to perpetrate terrorism and sabotage in Crimea."
