Russia will not fulfill the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Ukraine. Leonid Slutsky, the MP of Russia’s State Duma, chairman of Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs reported this to 112 Ukraine.
On journalists question, when Russia will fulfill the PACE resolution, Slutsky answered ‘Never’.
The Russian MP noted that he will stand for ‘position of the constructive cooperation of Russia and the Council of Europe’ at the session of the PACE Committee.
The Russian delegation is not represented in the PACE as it did not file its personal composition to Strasbourg in protest against the sanctions. At the same time, the Russian delegates are invited to the participation at the PACE Committee that considers the possibility to lift the sanctions from Russia and return it to the PACE.
Earlier it was reported that EU imposed the sanctions against Leonid Slutsky and he is banned from the entry. However, if he participates in the international events, the ban will be stopped.
As it was reported earlier, Ariev announced that the Bureau of the PACE refused will hold the urgent debates on the request of the UK, Ukraine and other countries on the poisoning of ex-GRU officer Sergey Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury and illegal election in annexed Crimea.
The spring PACE session is taking place on April 23-27. it is expected that the Donbas Conflict, Russia's election in occupied Crimea, hybrid war and fake news will be discussed.
In the adopted amendment, the formulation ‘uncontrolled by government territories’ was replaced by ‘the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian occupation administration’ as MP Oleksy Honcharenko reported to 112 Ukraine.
Also, the PACE adopted a resolution on the support of the counterwork to Russian propaganda at the EU level.
