Russia wants to dispose submarine Zaporizhia (U-001) of type 641 of the Ukrainian Navy, which was captured in 2014 as Ukrainian Military Portal reported.

The proper decision was announced by Defense Ministry of Russia at the tender on disposal of the number of the vessels. The tender specifies the intention to dispose submarine of 641 type, without particular name; however, it is known that only one submarine, Zaporizhia, corresponds this type.

Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014. Crimea is announced to be temporary occupied territory.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially announced February 20, 2014, to be the year of the beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. On October 2015, then President Petro Poroshenko signed the proper law.

The international organization recognized the occupation and annexation of Crimea as illegal and condemned the actions of Russia. West imposed the number of sanctions against Russia.
