In early December 2020, Ukrainian Yevhen Holubev was killed in a shooting on the Ukrainian-Russian border. A representative of the Russian FSB shot him and did not provide any evidence of the victim's aggressive actions. In addition, the journalists had an audio recording confirming that the provocation was planned. This is stated in the material Donbas.Realities agency.
The Russian FSB reported about the shooting that took place on the night of December 3-4, 2020 in the village of Slavhorod, Sumy region. According to their version, an armed group of three people tried to break into Russia. One person died, and two managed to escape to Ukraine.
Yevhen Holubev was found dead, his wife has not been able to get her husband's body for more than three months. At the request of the Embassy of Ukraine in Russia, the Russian authorities refuse to give an official answer about the death of Holubev.
"At the same time, according to the Embassy of Ukraine in Russia, Yevhen Holubev's body is currently being stored in the regional state budget health care institution Belgorod Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination until a separate order of the pre-trial investigation body. According to Russian investigators, permission to extradite the body of the deceased for burial will be granted after receiving the final results of the forensic examination," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in response to an inquiry from Donbas.Realities.
At the same time, Ukrainian and Russian border guards held several meetings:
"During the meetings, the Russian side did not provide any evidence of violation of the state border regime. The Ukrainian side did not recognize or confirm the violation of the state border regime from the territory of Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation. All meetings and correspondence ended last year, " Roman Tkach, a spokesman for the Sumy Border Detachment said.
According to Donbas.Realities sources, there is an audio recording in law enforcement agencies, which confirms that the Russian security forces planned the provocation with the shooting in advance. However, when preparing the ambush, they were careless to discuss some details by mobile phone, and not through a closed connection.
Journalists also had documents according to which a Ukrainian border guard, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Peshekhonov, shot at a Ukrainian.
"At the same time, our source in law enforcement agencies suggests that the shooting was deliberately blamed on this guard duty to hide traces of preparations for the provocation by FSB special forces."
Earlier it was reported that FSB killed Ukrainian in Russian territory.
