Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko does not exclude that Russian Federation may use its military personnel in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistria) to attack Ukraine. He reported this during assembly of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, broadcast by "112 Ukraine" TV channel.

"Russian military contingent, placed in the South-West in Transnistria area of Moldova and uncontrolled by Chisinau, may also be used any time to attack Ukrainian territory and threatens our border," he noted.

President stressed that despite the amount of military personnel there is not that numerous, this contingent together with more that 20 thousand soldiers in Crimea may cause additional problems.

At the same time, Poroshenko noted that the whole Europe is realizing the enormous appetite of the Russian Federation. "It shows weapons at the borders, carries out strong cyber attacks… Russia is financing pro-Russian and Eurosceptic parties and movements, blatantly intervenes in the election campaign, spreads Goebbels-styled fake news," he added.
