Russian law enforcement bodies extradited to Ukraine Mykola Makarenko, the ex-head of Kyiv traffic police who was suspected of corruption.

This was reported by Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko on Facebook.

"Makarenko, the former head of Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, who was wanted by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies for systematic bribes, was extradited before the Road Traffic Safety Day (April 14)," Prosecutor General wrote.

It is noteworthy that Russian law enforcement officers detained Makarenko in September 2016 in Moscow airport.
