Russian armed formations have 496 tanks in occupied Donbas. This is more than Germany, France, Spain and Italy have, as the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during the debates on the situation on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in the UN General Assembly, the President’s Administration reported.
He also stated there were 938 armored combat vehicles, 128 multiple rocket launchers and 776 Russian combat artillery systems including motorized ones.
“Donbas literally became a production line for Russia’s killing machine. As cynical as it is, they even send their young military cadets to Donbas to get practice in the battlefield. In mothers’ place, I would ask Russian president where their sons are?” Poroshenko said.
He pointed out that the total number of the Russian army located along the Russian-Ukrainian border is around 87,000 military.
“It’s truly mind-boggling that even after all these decisions the Russian Federation is still trying to present itself as a peaceful state that fully implements its obligations under the UN Charter. There are no so-called “de-facto authorities,” the President noted.
