"In connection with the unfriendly actions of the Ukrainian side, which on April 19 declared persona non grata an employee of the embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyiv, and on the basis of reciprocity for activities incompatible with diplomatic status, an employee of the Embassy of Ukraine in Russia was declared persona non grata," the statement said.
The diplomat must leave Russia by the end of the day on April 30.
By the way, the name of the diplomat was not revealed by the ministry.
However, the Foreign Ministry added that it had warned the Ukrainian side that in the event of "hostile actions against employees of Russian diplomatic and consular missions," additional measures would be taken against the staff of Ukrainian embassies and consulates in Russia.
Earlier, it became known that Romania was expelling a Russian diplomat.
