Russia will take measures in response to tightening the rules of entry to Ukraine, which can be considered a visa regime. This was stated by first deputy head of the Federation Council for Defense and Security Frants Klintsevich, reports RIA News.
“Introduction of preliminary electronic registration system for Russian citizens entering Ukraine or the so-called biometric control is, in fact, the establishment of a visa regime between our countries, and its "packaging" is of no fundamental importance,” Klintsevich noted.
“Reciprocal steps will for sure follow and they to some extent can affect four million Ukrainians working in Russia,” Russian official emphasized.
As it was reported earlier introduction of biometric control for foreigners will not influence EU citizens, according to Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin. This decision will be made after the accomplishment of the technical works.
