Russia accuses Ukrainian taxi driver of espionage

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) arrested Ukrainian citizen Yuriy Permyakov who faced charges with espionage in Krasnodar krai. It was reported by Interfax agency with reference to FSB press service.

"The agent worked under the pseudonym "Vova." He was recruited by the regional department of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) on the controlled by Kyiv part of Luhansk region. He was recruited to obtain information on the movement of military equipment in southern Russia and pass it to Ukrainian special service," the message said.

It is noted that now Permyakov was sent out of the country and banned entry to the territory of Russia.

Ukrainian law enforcers have not commented on the detention of Permyakov.

It is noted that Yuriy Permyakov was expelled and banned to enter Russia.

In September, Russian security forces have already reported about the detention of the "SBU agent" in Krasnodar Krai and his deportation to Ukraine. The spy was allegedly gathering information about military facilities of the region.
