Permanent representative of Russia to OSCE Aleksandr Lukashevich made a loud accusation against Ukraine, having said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were allegedly “preparing provocations with the use of chemical weapons in Donbas.” Lukashevich said this at the special session of the permanent council of OSCE, TASS reported.

‘There is information on the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the use of chemical weapons and attraction of foreign intelligence,’ Lukashevich noted.

It should be noted that Russia has repeatedly been accused of using prohibited chemical weapons. In particular, the United States imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation because of the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

As we reported earlier, on August 27, the sanctions of the U.S. against Russia concerning the Skripal's case have come into force. The sanctions provide the stop of the sale of any defense goods, defense services, engineering design, and construction services and the licenses for the export of any goods from the U.S. equipment list to Russia.

The State Department said it was applying the new sanctions based on a finding "that the Government of the Russian Federation has used chemical weapons in violation of international law or lethal chemical weapons against its own nationals."
