Ruslan Marchuk, was appointed at the post of the Territorial Management Director of the Kyiv Department of the State Investigation Bureau (SIB). At the moment he occupies the post of the deputy head of Economy Security Department of the National Police of Ukraine as UNIAN reported.
The Council of Europe worked out the tests for the selection and the EU representatives guaranteed the transparency of the process as they personally participated in the competition.
5, 000 candidates were carefully selected, including the polygraph test.
“Since 2003 I work at the practical posts in the internal bodies. Seeing the imperfect of the processes and knowing that new law enforcement structures are created for more effective counter-action to the crime, I made a decision to try my forces in the SIB. I think, it is a body that can effectively and qualitatively fight against the modern crime,” Marchuk claimed.
Ruslan Marchuk personally participated in the solution of the number of the high-profile crimes.
The testing of the candidates was held in a few stages: first, they were checked for the knowledge of the norms of the legislation, then they had a practical assignment, passed the interview and finally the polygraph test.
The final decision on the appointment to the posts in the SIB will be made by SIB Head Roman Truba.
Ruslan Marchuk was born in 1982 in Kniazhyn village, Zhytomyr region. In 2003 he graduated from the Luhansk Academy of Internal Affairs as the legal scholar. After this he returned to Zhytomyr region and fought against the economic crimes.
In January 2017, he was transferred to Volyn regions and headed the Economy Security Department of the National Police of Ukraine. Since November 2017, he became the deputy head of the department.
On November 22, 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appointed Roman Truba as the head of the SIB, while 81 people claimed to occupy this position.
On March 2, the competition for the leading position at the SIB has begun. On March 30, the election to the Society Control Council at the SIB finished.
