The international inspection team from Romania that holds the inspection on the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) began its work in Ukraine as the Department of Verification of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

‘The international inspection team from Romania consisting of nine people will be in Ukraine from November 20 until November 23, 2017. Also, the representatives of the US, Germany and Hungary are at the inspection team’, the message said.

The official reports that confirm the compliance with commitments on the armament control by Ukraine will be made in the result of the inspections.

It is also noted that the participation of the OSCE countries in the international treaties and agreements in armament control sphere is the platform for the restoration of the European confidence and security on the basis of the cooperation and search of the ways to adjust the armament control system in accordance with the modern reality.

The General Staff announced the holding of the inspections consisted of the members from Italy, Romania and Slovakia in Ukraine in the end of October. It was noted that the check will take place in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions and also in Kyiv.
