A commuter train and a minibus clashed on the railway-crossing in annexed Crimea. As a result, five people died and four were injured. Olha Kondrashova, the Head of the press-office of the Internal Ministry of Crimea, informed about this, as Interfax reported.
“Sevastopol - Armyansk minibus collided with Kerch - Armyansk commuter train. According to the preliminary data, five people died, four sustained bodily injuries,” she said, noting that there were no children among victims.
The road traffic incident occurred on the unregulated railway crossing near Armyansk. As the representatives of the so-called “Emergency situation operation headquarters” the passengers of the commuter train were not injured.
“Preliminary, the electric train was moving from Feodosia to Armyansk. The driver of the microbus drove out on the railway tracks on the 124 km in front of the approaching commuter train without a specified cause,” the representatives of the headquarters stated.
